The death of the monarch has not been announced officially according to sources in the town, but palace sources who asked not to be named confirmed the death of the monarch.
Aged 95, the late monarch reigned over the ancient town for 48 years.
Oba Ajagungbade was born on May 27th 1926 in Ogbomoso and was coronated as Soun on October 24, 1973.
